8 Days Safaris Tree lodge-Samburu-L. Baringo- L. Nakuru-Masai Mara

Highlights:

The Aberdares National park tree lodge which is located about 100 km north from Nairobi and stretches over a wide variety of terrains because it covers altitudes from about 7,000 feet (2,100 m) to 14,000 feet (4,300 m) above sea level. Established in May 1950, the Aberdare National Park covers an area of 766 square kilometers and forms part of the Aberdare Mountain Range. The park contains a wide range of landscapes - from the mountain peaks that rise to 14,000 feet (4,300 m) above sea level, to their deep, v-shaped valleys intersected by streams, rivers, and waterfalls. Moorland , bamboo forests and rainforests are found at lower altitudes.

The Samburu National Reserve also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves.

lake Baringo,The lake is part of the Great Rift Valley system. The Tugen Hills, an uplifted fault block of volcanic and metamorphic rocks, lies west of the lake. The Laikipia Escarpment lies to the east.enjoy the beauty of lake Baringo.

Lake Nakuru National Park (188 km²), created in 1961 around Lake Nakuru, near Nakuru Town. It is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. The surface of the shallow lake is often hardly recognizable due to the continually shifting mass of pink (flamingos).

Masai mara is named after the Maasai People (the traditional inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: "Mara", which is Maa (Maasai language) for "spotted," an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.

Day 1:
Drive through Vast coffee and tea plantations towards the Mt Kenya region. Lunch will be at a base hotel from where you will be transferred to your tree lodge at the Aberdares National park. Enjoy the unique experience of all night and unlimited game viewing. Dinner and overnight at a tree lodge at Aberdares National park surrounded by forest and overlooking an illuminated waterhole and salt lick.

Day 2:
After breakfast, transfer to base hotel for onward journey to Samburu game reserve. After lunch, a game drive to sight the resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country. Dinner and the night will be spent along the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River at one of the luxurious Samburu Lodges.

Day 3:
Enjoy two extensive game drives today at the sanburu game reserve. Explore and traverse over some of the world's most spectacular and exciting terrain. Overnight and meals at the lodge.

Day 4:
After breakfast, depart for Lake Baringo. Lake Baringo, a fresh water lake in the Rift valley, is a
peaceful oasis in the dry thorn country, bursting with birdlife and with a captivating characteristic of its own. Lake Baringo possesses two major ornithological attractions: the Gibraltar Island with the largest nesting colony of Goliath Herons in East Africa and the escarpment immediately west of Campi ya Samaki on the western side of the lake Baringo. It is the home of Verreaux's Eagle, rare Bristle crowned Starling and Hemprich's Hornbill. Apart from birds, the lake baringo houses a sizeable population of crocodile's and hippos. Meals
and overnight at a spectacular lodge situated by the lake.

Day 5:
After breakfast, depart for Nakuru National park. Arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park provides a sanctuary for the rhino. Lake Nakuru has always been considered a flamingo lake par excellence. The contrast and apparent dislocation between the shallow soda lake with its primeval birds and the animated woods all around it give Lake Nakuru National Park a very distinctive appeal. Dinner and overnight at a lodge overlooking the lake Nakuru .

Day 6:
After breakfast at the Lake Nakuru National park, depart for Masai Mara game reserve- the land of vast migrating herds. Arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive to get a closer look at the Masai Mara. Return to an archetypal Mara lodge for sundowners, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7:
Awaken to the sounds of the big game country and venture out to absorb the enormity of the Masai Mara game reserve. In this country of breathtaking vistas, view its vast assemblages of plains game together with their associated predators: Buffalo, Black Rhino, Hippopotamus, Leopard, Cheetah, Common Zebra, Coke's Hartebeest, White bearded Gnu, Oribi, Warthog, and Thompson's and Grant's Gazelles.
All meals and overnight stay at the lodge in Masai mara game reserve.

Day 8:
After breakfast, return to Nairobi.
